I am a young man. I haven’t “fallen in love” as yet. But somewhere down the line, it’s gonna happen. Just curious, at what age should I start looking for a partner?
I’'ve already done that. God has not called me for the priesthood or to live a single life, but for marriage.I highly suggest seriously discerning the possibly that God may be calling you to be a priest or brother first, if you haven’t been doing so already. Without the openness to put God’s guidance first, any vocation–marriage included–loses its direction toward holiness and true love.
Well said.I think that the “right age” occurs at the right time in your relationship with God. And it may or may not be in the present. It depends on you and the path that God has for you. Everybody says they are looking for love, but unfortunately many go looking for it in the wrong places. I will assume, though, that you are truly seeking authentic love.
My response to your question is that very few people are ready before 20, and most are not ready until later on sometime. Sadly, I think that the majority of people do not begin to break out of society’s limited conception of relationships until they are older, and unfortunately after several broken hearts. Unfortunately, there are also many who just don’t seek beyond the superficial.
I honestly believe that God brings people to their vocations in His time and as people seek to know His Will in their lives.I think we just have to be ready and preparing for His answers to come. Just about anyone can get involved romantically with someone, but God makes the relationship good, chaste, and true. As a younger man, I was not ready for love when I wanted it badly years ago. Fortunately, my prayers did not get answered in the timespan I had wanted. I then opened up to other possibilities and spent 5 months in a monastery while going to school. After much prayer, patience and self-sacrifice, I think I was truly ready for meeting and beginning my relationship with my fiancee 3 years ago.

I do not wish for anyone to seek a partner before being ready to make the relationship Christ-centered from day one. Are you at that age? I cannot say for sure, but I do think that asking a lot of questions and having strong faith is a good start. It’s something primarily you must figure out, though. I think that you’ll know you’re on the right track toward your vocation from the consistent sense of peace and joy that you find within your heart from being close to God, which is from listening and following Him.
God bless you on your journey!
