I’m so glad it’s wild bird feeding season again.
They make me happy.

Our most-frequent visitor, the Blue Tit

Actually I’ve just remembered another occasion when two sparrows landed on the path in front of me locked in mortal combat, and they wouldn’t let go of each other even when I raised my voice.
I’ll never forget the time when two sparrows were fighting in my backyard. About 15 other sparrows had made a wide ring all around them and were jumping up and down, flapping their wings, and chirping quite loudly.

The word had spread throughout sparrow-world and they all turned up to cheer and place their bets.

Time to net the Redcurrants, the English Blackbirds have taken up residence in the garden and I can see where they’ve been feasting 😼

Haven’t been out much, but found these pics of a Green Heron from earlier in the year.(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.) (Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

This evening driving home through bush land and trees I saw something small, dark and odd looking running across the road, and then realised it was a wild duckling 😃 I wonder if it caught up with its family?

What a funny bird Milt,I wonder why they prefer to run rather than fly?🤔

Coyotes can run a lot faster than road runners in real life.

I wouldn’t underestimate road runners though.

They literally eat rattlesnakes for breakfast.

Impressive birds.
