I’ve been endeavoring to lose weight since the first of the year. Currently, my favorite comfort food is a fuji apple with a couple tablespoons of organic nutty peanut butter. Yum!

But, since no one wants to hear about that 😃 …my former favorite comfort foods used to be: tiramisu, my grandma’s homemade breads, my dad’s rotisserie bbq chicken and Mexico City style chicken soup. Mmmmm.

:hypno: …must…resist…temptation…aaaargh! I knew I shouldn’t have looked at this thread. 🙂

Have you tried Nutella hazelnut spread? It is quite good.

Don’t the stores in Michigan sell the hot dogs that are packed wherever? I don’t think Oscar Meyer, Ballpark, Sugardale, etc. are packed locally. Or do you just buy them from the deli counter or from a local butcher shop?
I buy the Kosher ones, so then I know I’m not buying bones and guts. 😛

Hebrew national is pretty good. I am getting ticked off waiting for someone to call me back from Coldstone.

Guess its time to eat something to cool down.😃

I have a lot of new options now.

How about making a monte christo with french toast? Hmm.

What’s that?
Ohh, its sliced turkey and sliced ham and cheese all melted together between 2 slices of french toast. Bennigans makes it with powdered sugar on top and they give you raspberry sauce to dip it in.

I think its pretty high cal, dont let the turkey fool you.😦

 No sugar with my turkey and no turkey with my french toast.. No raspberry with turkey either.

LOL. Dont like cranberry sauce at thanksgiving? Its just a sweeter version.

I make my own cranberry sauce though. None of that stuff in a can for my family! I always hated that slurp sound that would come from the can too.

Admit it, you would eat a monte christo before eating hoghead cheese if those were your only 2 options.

Cranberry sauce  . Tastes like bad gritty jello.

LOL. No mixing of meats and sweets?

You dont like honey baked ham?

YUMMY.

But I don’t eat the rind. Isn’t that where the honey stays?
Mostly, yes. I feel like I can taste it thoughout but its most likely in my mind.

So, I wont make a monte christo. I do like the name though because I think of Christ with the christo ending…

I know, I am nutter.😃

I love cheesecake. Cheesecake flavored icecream is also yummy. (But I’m on a less sugar diet to lose some baby weight. 😛 I shouldn’t be reading this thread.)

Refrigerated banana bread with some cream cheese on it.

homemade soft chocolate chip cookies, but only after they’ve cooled b/c I don’t like them falling apart. 🙂

cheese, particularly cheddar

oreos dipped in peanut butter

…and about Cold Stone, we had one near our house before we moved and we would stop there so often on our way home from church. It’s probably a good thing that we moved. 😃

Here is a real gross out one I forgot to mention my dad liked!

Cottage cheese with ketchup.

SIck.

 I like my cottage cheese with fruit.
You bet. I like peaches (I just put in the diced canned ones for cottage cheese though)

Ketchup is an anathama and ought to be illegal for use as stated above.
