Miracle Whip on bread as a child.

Blueberry sugarfree yogurt cone at the moment.

Try these combos:

  1. *]popcorn and apple wedges
    *]carrots and peanutbutter
    *]raisins and chow mein noodles
*]add orangejuice concentrate to a vanilla shake (dreamsickle)
    *]vanilla and sugar to milk
    *]french fries and mayo
    *]pizza and catalina dressing
Popcorn and apples are my favorite together foods… buttery/salty with sweet/tart/crisp mmmmmmmmmm…

Oh yeah, sometimes I make my own mayo (if you’ve got a food processor it’s a cinch) - get a pile of fairly thick-cut chips with that, heaven!
Slightly off track- I have to laugh…My husband, with his combined physics/ math/ philosophy background, did not know the science behind good mayo. The GIRLS and I showed him what was what, proving you can’t watch too many “Good Eats” episodes!😃

What channel is “Good Eats” on?

Yeah, scientist does not necessarily equal “good cook” or “knowledgeable about food”. The PhD scientists in my lab were unable- until recently, when instructed by the students in the lab- to figure out how to properly cook meat on their grills. In their defense, they’re both European, and perhaps people don’t grill there so much, but still…

And yes, “Good Eats” is terrific. It always makes me hungry for whatever he’s cooking, though.

OK - here’s my absolute favorite comfort food: Angel hair pasta with olive oil, garlic, and crushed red pepper. And I prefer to eat it with a high-running metabolism, :bounce:, which I’ve never had.

What is Sonic? I see ads for it on TNT during the basketball playoffs, but there are none where I live. Is it a burger joint?

Hey,

Yea, here in the south its a drive in burger joint. You pull right in and order out of your car. The route 44 is the gigantic size soda! My daughter and I laugh and joke that we need two hands to drink it. We’ll get one and nurse it the whole day.

The Holy Eucharist. He is the best food you can get.
Hi! This is my first post here in Catholic Answers.

Everytime I feel down and out, I noticed that everything becomes better when I receive communion so He is the best comfort food there is. After I receive Him I can talk to Him to my heart’s content and tell him all my desires and problems and I get a lot of comfort from unloading and I feel so much lighter. 🙂

Well the other comfort foods that perk me up and give me a major mood boost are butter cake gobbled down with coke (yummy-just ate some yesterday) and spaghetti gobbled down with coke. No I am not a coke addict. I just drink it twice a week. But it sure feels sooo refreshing since it can become so hot and humid here where I come from. 👍

I like Coke too, but never with dessert. Coke and beer just do not go with sweets, but iced tea does. Now, spaghetti with Coke is fine.

Clearly you have never had a beer with a homemade Toll House cookie or a homemade brownie. Heaven on earth!

Another one: port wine cheese balls covered with chopped almonds. Yummy!
