so sorry …

Isn’t Fr. Larry awesome! I think he is unbelievable. He is only 43!

His sermons are wonderful. He is the one that got me marking my readings in my bible and taking the bible to read at Mass. It is so fulfilling!

He did a mission at a church in the area. He is also an awesome confessor! :gopray: He was in the confessional until 11pm!!

I like a poll!
I say Eucharist. Last Sunday I had tears in my eyes after recieving Our Lord. It was over too soon!

My favorite part of the Mass.

I would have to agree with my 2 and 3 year old girls, when the guy with the pointy hat comes and visits!

I myself enjoy the Penititial Rite, and the consecration…

The Eucharist, first and foremost, though I agree with many who love the entire mass and all the prayers. Personally, I love the **Holy, Holy, Holy when we join with “all the angels and saints to sing of Your glory.” ** How awesome! A little slice of heaven on earth!

My favorite part of the Latin Rite Mass are the words:

Hoc est enim Corpus meum.

The bell rings three times…

Haec quotiescumque feceritis, in mei memoriam facietis.

The bell rings 3 times…

ITS AWESOME!

👍 During Mass I often ask my children if they see the angels … because we know they are there … we feel that they are there … wouldn’t it be miraculour is we ACTUALLY SAW them?

I am not holy enough I think 😦

My favorite is usually the homily but I like all the different parts, I just feel like a good homily feeds me spiritually to get through the week until we come to gather together again. I also like the music at our parish and the choir of men and women hitting the tunes just right gives me chills.

Archbishop 10-K:
I’ve heard it once called the “bearaucracy of Christ”, aka RCIA. No disrespect to the Church, of course, but the thought of having to go to RCIA when I know enough to talk about the Council of Trent for an hour is quite frustrating.
RCIA is not only for instruction, it is also to help those become part of the Catholic community. Someone like yourself could make for a great RCIA group.
I know a guy who is a lawyer and decided to get a masters degree in Theology and another in Religious Education and he’s now in the formation for the Diaconate. The bishop told him he still had to go through the same courses as those with no post secondary education even though he could have easily taught most of the courses.

(Apart from the fact the Eucharistic Sacrifice and Holy Communion are most important and best,)

The Alleluia! gives me a bit of a nice tingle down the spine, with the symbolism of standing for the Gospel. 🙂

Again, sorry about the MisSPELLING!
I also have a tape from him on confession.
I always knew I was a sinner but wow!

Of course it is the eucharist. With out the body, blood , soul and divinity of Christ at Mass, there’s nothing else to separate catholics from any other denomination. The eucharist is why I am a catholic. God bless and have a nice day.

Wow! It is truly awesome!!! It takes my breath away…:blessyou:

The Consecration. Here we are re-presented at Calvary! Can one imagine so great an event? To adore God at the foot of the Cross with Holy Mother Mary and join Her prayer in asking for mercy? This is the vital part of the Mass - the Sacrifice. So, if I had to choose between being at the Consecration or receiving Holy Communion, it HAS to be the Consecration.

The Knights of Columbus has an annual essay contest for, if I remember right, 7th- and 8th-graders. This year’s topic was “Explain what the three most important parts of the Mass are to you and why.”

We found some interesting answers when selecting winners. Some of the kids made statements like, “I think one of the most important parts of the Mass may be the Eucharist.”

Another kid mentioned how the Eucharist is nice because we all come together as one body, regardless of what beliefs we might hold.

What really agitated me, though, was the number of kids who wrote that, to them, one of the most important parts of the Mass is when we all join hands and say the Lord’s Prayer. They love the touchy-feeliness of it; it doesn’t have much to do with the prayer itself. They’ve been successfully indoctrinated into believing that the Mass is all about “Us,” – the wonderful community we are.

I’m with Archbishop 10-k, even though I am not confirmed and am still awaiting the day the Eucharist is my favorite. Especially when the priest raises the body and blood and proclaims “Through Him with Him in Him. In the unity of the Holy Spirit. All glory and honor is Yours Almighty Father forever and ever!” Amen and Amen!

the homilies, music and other parts of the Mass are wonderful appetizers for the real reason that we go to Mass & that is to receive the Body & Blood of Jesus in the Eucharist—without the consecration there is no Mass
