MGEISING:
I am with you, the EUCHARIST is where I get my greatest satisfaction! But not everyone is the same!
I know some people in my parish who would say “the dismissal.” For me? the Eucharist. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than receiving Our Lord in the Eucharist.

John

I have to agree with most of you…the Euchrist is still my favorite…although right now I’m in the process of an Annulment so I’m not permitted to receive the Holy Communion:( …just a special blessing from the priest when I walk up in line.🙂
I would wait a lifetime if I had too…for the privilege once again to receive the The Body of Christ, when it happens… this will be a special day for me:yup:
I will have to say the Angus Dei(Lamb of God) is my second best at Mass b/c the words have such special meaning to me:love:

When the host is elevated and the priest says “This is my body which is given up for you” [bells] and I think “My Lord and My God!”
After all this time the consecration causes my heart to pound and takes my breath.

The Nicene Creed. The reason we’re all Catholic is all there. Everyone recites it together. I think the Apostles’ Creed is more Catholic, though.

Do you still strike your breast three times (with each bell ring) as you say the words three times. I do and I think I am the only one in church who does it but I love it and it is so meaningful. I also add “I trust in you” “I love you Lord”. I can’t praise HIM enough.
God bless.

Just said a prayer that your annullment is granted if it His will. The ability to receive the Eucharist is THE best part of the Mass

In addition to what else I have said about the Mass, at the Agnus Dei, for some reason, my eyes usually well up when I say it. He truly is the Lamb of God.
God bless,

The Eucharist, by far. The Church would probably fold and in a hurry without the strength of the Eucharist.

Homilies rank right up there with Dismissal! Maybe they could skip the petty homilies and lengthen dismissal!

aByzantineCatho–Where did you get that amazing picture?

I’ve not gone through RCIA yet, so the best I can do is get a blessing up front, which is still pretty powerful.

I also get very excited during what I guess you’d call the Processional, at the very beginning of the service. the anticipation is just…

:oMass simply could not even be called a Mass without the Eucharist.

It would be tough to decide between the beauty of the consecration and actually going to communion.
My thoughts, exactly! I voted for the Eucharist, but also wanted to vote for the Consecration. I ususally end up crying from that time on…Not always, but often.

EUCHARIST has to be the main reason why I enjoy coming to mass. But I do enjoy a really good sermon, and our pastor is a great hominlist(spelling?)

I love the whole mass. I can offer up the mass for people, and prayers. I truly like going to mass. I love the Catholic faith. I know Podo2004 does too!😃

My favorite part of the Mass is from when Father says “In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” until Father says “The Mass is ended let us go in peace to serve the Lord and one another.” I love that whole middle part.

T’is the Eucharist that enticeth me to go to Mass. That and the singing (especially with singing the psalms and hearing the Word…) 😉

But, of all those things, the Eucharist bringeth me such inner peace and joy! Drinking the wine and partaking in the blood of Christ, and eating the bread and partaking in the body of Christ, giveth forth such comfort, knowing that Jesus liveth and abideth within me, and I can love Him even more through the Eucharist!

Since I am unable to receive the Eucharist til this Saturday that wasn’t a viable option for me.

I enjoy the readings, but I also read those before mass. So my favorite is the homily. Our priest is very good at taking the readings and discussing them in terms that affect our life now. It’s not an abstract that when I leave I’m thinking, wow that sounded great, but what do I do with it?

I’m sure after next week, the homily will drop to #2 after the Eucharist.

The Eucharist of course is my first favorite part, because God Himself comes down on the altar.

The music is my second favorite part. I pray through Music. It’s my least favorite part when it’s bad though (I’m not saying I expect everyone to be a virtuoso, but I have been in music for over 10 years- I know when someone is not doing their best- I also know when people haven’t practiced their music, so if you’re ever my voice student, you better practice:tsktsk: 😃 )
