What is your favorite proof for God?

The Old Testament made many predictions that were proven true hundreds of years later.

No amount of mumbo jumbo quibbling by BB2, Perplexity, and other miserable souls can explain that.
 
As the second post said… everything around us.

God is pure being… being never changes, it simply is what it is, eternally. It is timeless, immutable, infinite, and everything else depends on it.
 
My own testimony and experience of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit working in my own life.

The Soul; Supernatural Grace.

For the believer, no proof is necessary.

For the unbeliever, no proof is enough.

I believe and it doesn’t impair my intellect or my reasoning or my free will.
 
I think, over time, I have progressed to a position where I prefer the teleological argument best.
 
A thing to keep in mind is that none of the “proofs” for God really prove God - they might just offer grounds for accepting theism and show how this is a better conclusion than atheism - as I have heard WLC argue from time to time.

Personally, I go with the mystical approach that proves an impersonal God or “ground of all being” - probably because it’s not loaded with all sorts of arbitrary and question begging assumptions.

I disagree (I am not a fan of WLC’s arguments for the existence of God, mostly because the kalam argument depends on current scientific theory, which I very much dislike); St. Thomas’s proofs are based on very basic metaphysical assumptions, and denying them leads to utter absurdities. They are as much of a “proof” as 2+2=4.
 
Billy Grahm was interviewed and asked a question about those who were trying to destroy the bible’s integrety. And the narrator asked what that meant to Billy and for the bible.

His response was that his knowledge of Jesus did not depend on the bible for he knew Jesus first hand in his heart and had met him. And he didn’t need the bible for this.

I think that is true. Once you know Jesus, that is the ultimate proof, awareness that he is someone present, and noone can take that away from you.

Just a thought.

There is no “proof” of God. Faith is a virtue, given by the Holy Spirit. If there was a “proof”, faith would be unnecessary.

My favorite proof is the Creation of True Friends.

Meaning: the only means to create an ever-lasting society of true friends, given the Creator also gets to participate as a friend, and the Creator is initially existing in complete solitude of which there is nothing else in existence is in alignment with the Word of Catholicism (The Holy Bible), the Theology of Catholicism (Nicene Creed), the Teachings of Catholicism (The Catechisms), and the Practices of Catholicism (The Greatest Commandments & The Sacraments of Catholicism).
 
I have to ask, and I hope this doesnt shake people’s faith as much as it has mine. But somebody asked one of the Apologists if dinosaur death disproved Christianity, bc if Jesus died to defeat death, and death came through Adam, but science tells us that dinosaurs existed & supposidly DIED before humans existed, WHAT DID Jesus die for? And doesnt evolution proved that death existed before humans? Unless animals reproduced and just didnt die, but wouldnt the world be over populated then? If anyone can answer this I would apprecate it bc my faith is hurting bc of it.

SPIRITUAL death came through Adam, and perhaps spiritual and physical death for humans.
 
Hmm, well, I guess the Holy Spirit confirmed another thing I was thinking, bc thats exactly what I was thinking. Thats the 3rd time this has happened that I can remember. One of the times was yesterday & the other earlier this year. 👍
