Abortion - I wish there was a different term coined for this here. Abortion is a medical term for what a body does when a miscarriage happens. Killing an unborn baby should be called “murder” perhaps? I am definitely not pro-murder.

Death Penalty - I know it has a place. But I do think it should be used only sparingly. Personally I’d like to see life in prison without possibility of parole. If you escape, attempt to escape, cause harm to fellow inmates or prison staff then you are executed on the spot. No one “allegedly escapes prison.”

Middle East - The place is such a colossal cluster. I am thankful that I don’t live there. I have no answers to the problems there. I just read the news and remarks and shake my head ruefully.

Israel - I am conflicted when it comes to the modern Nation State of Israel. I think they have the right to exist where they are. But the facts remain that they are anti-Christian. Christians with Jewish ancestry cannot make aliya. That’s a serious issue.

Gun Control - I do not presently own a firearm. I have in the past and served in the US Army. I like the US Constitution, it’s a fine document. “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

Environment - I like to breath and I think water tastes pretty good, especially if it it frozen and Scotch is poured over it 😃 We should be good stewards of the planet. Being a wise and good steward means not being extreme or rash. If you were a wise and good steward of finances you’d save some money and invest it well and monitor it to make sure it was doing what you want. Which is of course to do better than it did yesterday. What’s the difference if we’re talking cash or the planet? Don’t waste what we have. Be thankful for the blessings of it and nurture it. I think we can do that without being extremists in either direction on this issue, that has sadly been turned political, can’t we?

p.s. neat thread idea

Abortion - wrong

Death Penalty - right in some circumstances

Middle East - leave them to it

Israel - destroy it - (politically I mean, not by more war and destruction, the jews have caused enough of that already) - it has no right to exist, is a vile anathema, and has wrought nothing but war and oppression since it was artifically created. It is NOT heir land - period.

Gun Control - ban it.

Enviroment. - protect it and implement all laws required to do so.

Abortion- is murder

Death Penalty- warranted if the criminal is a danger to society even when incarcerated (witness intimidation, etc), but with our legal system being so sluggish that really doesn’t make a difference anyway… so for all intents and purposes I’m against it

Middle East- mixed feelings… though I could sum up my stance in that I think the less the US intervenes the better for both of us. Stop aid to radical Islamic states.

Israel- Why on EARTH would you put a small group of Jews in the middle of radical Islamic nations? Was a bad idea to begin with, IMO, but they’re there now and are our ally.

Gun Control- Most criminals don’t legally carry weapons anyhow, and getting weapons illegally would be very easy. Since there is no intrinsic sin in gun ownership, it seems reasonable to me to lift the taboo on small arms and instead offer sufficient and accessible training on gun safety and laws.

Environment- Whether global warming is true or not, the smog cloud over L.A. is just nasty. I see nothing wrong with trying to clean up the planet.

Abortion:
Murder

Death Penalty:
Sometimes necessary

Middle East -
A place where women and children are often abused. A place that we need to help or we will pay the price.

Israel -
Has the right to exist. Is a target of Middle Eastern hatred and terrorism.

Gun Control -
I do not presently own a firearm. I sometimes wish I could still learn to use a gun. Up until now I have feared guns, but having lived in the city of Chicago for many years I know that most criminals can get ahold of guns illegallly and hurt innocent people.

Environment -
We need to respect it, but not act like we are not entitled to its riches. We need to be careful, but not go overboard. Environmentalist extremists have gotten way too rigid- they are against new humans and the population growing. They often approve of the innocent murder of the unborn but are sooo against people even existing.
