I saw an adult salamander for the first time in forever, looking for wood to throw on the fire. It was bigger than I thought it would be. (Not a hellbender, I promise)
I like whatever animal enthralls my cat when he’s stationed by the window. That would be about anything (although dogs seem no more than mildly interesting to him), but especially tree frogs, which send him into about as close to frenzy as cats ever get (beyond their kitten years).
