Will we have physical bodies? I have some Mormon friends who think God the father has a physical body and that humans look like him (“in his image”) I asked if God has teeth and what does he eat and how and where does he eliminate? Also pointed out that given God has genitalia he must have actually had sex with Mary to impregnate her with Jesus. If only we could get a sample of Jesus’ flesh we might be able to determine the genome of God! The holy prepuce that was worshiped in the 1400s in Italy might have provided a clue, but as far as I know, nobody knows where it is now (like the holy grail).
Any thoughts on this?

Absolutely! But a new, transformed body; pneumatikon soma. You will be a human being, have head, hands, feet, etc; but your life-process will be reworked for life everlasting.
I have not studied Mormonism so I won’t say too much, but God the Father is spirit. No teeth, genitalia, etc. The conception of our LORD took place by the action of the Holy Spirit, according to the Gospels.
Probably much, much more, since we will have a new head to hold it. “My knowledge is imperfect now; then I shall know as I am known” (S. Paul, in Romans).
Our knowledge is limited now because of the limited capacity of our heads and because we must cease using them so soon. Those limits will be overcome in the pneumatikon soma.

Kreeft says no sex (at least as we know it here on earth) … but suggests there will be some sort of union in heaven (not only with God but also with other human beings) … and this union will be better than sex …

Actually, you will have a body; spiritual body, or as S. Paul said, pneumatikon soma.
Time is a side effect of the entropy in our human bodies; you do not have time in the next life. In Heaven, you are in Eternity, so eternally alive. Not floating in the darkness waiting and wishing to have a body.

I hope there is no desire to have sex with these new bodies… Such a desire causes me enough grief down here on earth.
But if we don’t eat in heaven, and don’t reproduce in heaven, I doubt we will have private parts on these bodies. So no sex!

There will be no sexual behavior in Heaven, because it is designed for species propagation, which is unnecessary in immortal life.
However, our LORD ate after HIS resurrection, so it is possible that we might. Don’t ask me how that works, I have never seen a pneumatikon soma; let alone been one!

I disagree here. In the passage above (1 Corinthians, 15:3549), it sounds like Paul is strictly speaking about the resurrected body, not ones appearance in Heaven.
In verse 40, Paul speaks of “heavenly” and “earthly” bodies, but this seems to be a contrast of angel verses human, because in verse 39, he speaks of di human verses animals, birds and fish.
So it seems to me that Paul is speaking of the various orders of creation, and then singling out the order of humanity for further discussion in passages 42-49.
Now we know that Christ was bodily risen - His tomb was physically empty. Our Lord resurrected His human body, and it took on a spiritual nature. Saint Paul tells us in 6 Romans that we will be raised from death in the same manner as Christ.
Based on this, I have to conclude that the pneumatikon soma refers to the resurrected body. Its possible that we will still be able to interact while in Heaven - we will at the very least be in perfect peace and harmony. But our humanity will not be complete again until the resurrection at the end of time!
On a related note, the bodily assumption of Mary, Elijah, and others (see here)proves to us that Heaven is certainly capable of holding a human body - all things are possible to God. So I further theorize that the Mary and the other saints that have appeared to humanity have either already been resurrected and are no longer bound by time, or have a temporary appearance of a body so as to be recognizable on Earth.
