1 Humanity HAD to have an origin {evolution is a separate tpic}

2 Gen 2: 6-7 is the telling evidence: But a spring rose out of the earth, watering all the surface of the earth . [ [7] ](And the Lord God formed man of the slime of the earth: and breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became a living soul ”.

3 “Soul” for this discussion by Webster’s Definition: “that which animates LIFE”

4 In Gen 1: 3, 9 we are told that God Created the Entire Universe by “willing” it into existence

5 But humanity {alone & exclusively} was created out of something; further GOD “Breathed His LIFE into us”…. A “living Soul” means an immortal and rational Soul; exclusive to humanity

6 It IS precisely man’s immortal ∧ rational Souls that fulfills Gen 1:26-27

7 Their names may have been Sam and Sally; BUT they represent the first of GOD’S Created humanity. & male and females sexes.

8 Because good & evil exist and rational-humanity alone can freely choose either, & because GOD who can be defined as “ALL GOOD THINGS PERFECTED”; HAS TO be Just & Fair which are “good things”; it is reasonable that both good & evil be “fairly rewarded”

9 “Before man is life and death , good and evil, that which he shall choose shall be given him:” [Ecc. 5:18]

Only humanity emulates God; Good & evil exist; only man can freely choose between the 2. Actions HAVE consequences; GOD has to issue JUST reward /punishment for our life choices.

I write science fiction. A flamnig sword moving back and forth does not work for a portal description.
 
Older translations read:

“[…]and a flaming sword, turning every way[…]”

Probably an energy barrier.

Anyway, the one main thing that Catholics have to believe is monogenesis.

Regardless of your view on evolution, it is interesting that civilization just popped up a few thousands years ago. It seemed like something happened significantly to humans a few thousands years ago. I personally believe that God created things directly over time over a long time frame. He did not use evolution but injected plants, animals and humans into certain points of time.

I do. A sword swinging back and forth is not a portal or an energy barrier.
 
That too, but I must also understand the concepts I’m writing about. If a writer creates a fictional weapon or other device, I have to decide if it’s plausible, and that means using my library of cutting-edge tech and theories. We don’t have artificial gravity - yet, we are just starting to deploy energy weapons, and we are talking about faster-than light space drives. On the biological front, a few things are happening. In robotics and exoskelotons, a few are seeing production.
 
Oh yeah, well I have ten PhDs in Sword Portalogy. What now, smart guy?
