I listen to all kind of music especially 50s-90s stuff. I hate popular music nowaday. Too much sex, money, cars, materialistic. Recently, I am putting together a orchestral film score for Maccabeus. So, I spend alot of time recording, mixing, and listening to my own music.

Right now…Trans-Siberian Orchestra!

I just watched their DVD called “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” over my Thanksgiving holiday and I fell in love with the music! It is such an awesome blend of orchestra and rock music to make classic Christmas songs come alive. I am definitely hooked and I am going to buy more of their CDs. They are awesome!

Just my 2 cents.😉
Heather,

Did you watch the DVD or listen to the cd? If it was the visual, was it on PBS or was it on DVD?

Jimmy Buffett - Defying Gravity

"I live on a big round ball
I never do think I may fall
But even someday if I day
I will look up and smile back at you

I don’t even know where we are
They tell me we’re circling a star
Well that may be true I don’t know
But I’m dizzy so it may be so."

Gee that’s hard to type after two glasses of wine!! 😛

It was the DVD and its called “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve”. Its really awesome. I’ve never seen it on tv.

I’m watching the news right now, but if I was listening to music it would probably be Sheryl Crow, Wildflower. I love that CD 🙂

Dave Matthews Solo Album, “Some Devil” I have a big final tonight, trying to relax a little.

Currently working through the CDs received last week -

The Complete Works of Mozart
The Symphonies of Mahler
The Complete chamber music of Brahms

There’s also a bit of jazz and Cuban music thrown in.

A little favela funk from Rio! I don’t speak any Portuguese, but I like the music.

Right now I am listening to Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto #1 on my iPod.:whacky:

Blink 182…“Always”…just listened to “First Date” before that…

Listening to the last part of Bach’s Violin Concerto #2. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto #4 is next.

“O” by Damien Rice - mad, gutsy, passionate, happy, sad, mournful, heartwrenching, confronting, thoughtful, poetic… brilliant.
Also enjoying “Nocturama” by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, “Wonderful World” by Eva Cassidy, “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” by U2, “How Bizarre” by OMC and “Available Light” by Dave Dobbyn.

Do yourself a favour - go out right now and buy either Dobbyn’s record or Rice’s - you won’t regret it.
