Don’t name him “Who” Yes it will lead to funny “Who’s on first” scenarios and yes if the kid goes medical he really will be Dr. Who -but it just isn’t worth it

I would avoid names that suggest the opposite sex or are even ambiguous. Consider a name that would suggest a vocation or encourage a certain type of positive character.

Really? I think that’s the conspiracy theorists view of them. I known a few, I’d say they were the worlds biggest group of painter and decorators!

There’s a trend to give your child gender neutral names nowadays. I’d say these names are a no no among us Catholics.

Depends on the last name also. I am not making this up. My brother went to a Catholic high school with a kid named Jack. Last name Hoff. Why would parents do that?

That’s awful! Let’s hope his real name is Michael. I would use my middle name.

If it is, I’m curious why he goes by Mike. That’s like asking for trouble.

I had a friend whose name was “Nero”. No one ever asked him why he was named that way but I always felt sorry for him in a way.
Now in the Spanish language Adolfo and Rudolfo names like that are considered romance names but once translated (Adolph) it loses its “luster” so to speak.

Or even John, like my son-in-law, who goes by Jack. But sadly, no. That was poor Mr. Hoff’s given name.

My mother was into religious names. Mine is Marta my sister is Mary and my brother is as Lazarus (May he rest in peace) Lol

Guadalupe is very common in the Spanish language too but very hard to pronounce or shorten

Pope Alexander VI named his son Cesare( Caesar), so how bad could the choice be?

Also, note that depending on where your friend was from, “Nero” could mean something completely different. A lot of different names nowadays with a lot of Nepalis around.
