MORE traditional? :bigyikes:Three other Catholic ones, one more traditional, one for Eastern Catholics. A homeschooling one, been there since '98, kids are grown and gone but many friendships live on.
Oh yes. I have stumbled onto two “traditionalist” fora - not to be mentioned by name - which have called-out CAF by name as being “liberal,” and in one case, heretical. That’s the same forum that feels the last solid, reliable pope was Pius IX, although even he got some things wrong, in their mind. St. Pius X seems to have many enemies out there for revising the Brievary. And Pius XII comes in for much criticism as modernist for revising the Holy Week rituals.MORE traditional? :bigyikes:

Where will it end? St. Pius V? Or St Peter himself?Oh yes. Yeah. From my experience I believe that CAF does not have many traditionalist Catholics per se. More like Catholics who embrace some elements of traditionalist Catholicism but not others.MORE traditional? :bigyikes:

I belong to one of those forums (well, I’m guessing it’s one of those two) but haven’t participated or even thought about it in a long time.Oh yes. I have stumbled onto two “traditionalist” fora
Hey, we all know Peter got some things wrong - Paul told us so.Where will it end? St. Pius V? Or St Peter himself?![]()
Hey - they are right - the world is flat! How do they know? They went to the end of the world and fell off…What other Catholic forums do I visit? Several. I don’t participate in them, however, as they’re largely train wrecks. The worst offender is for “resistance” Catholics (people who are SSPX, for example, but resist the idea of SSPX having full communion, resist Fellay, etc.). It’s a smorgasbord of conspiracy theories – Jews control the planet, the moon landings were faked, the world is flat… They refer to the Holocaust as the Holohoax. It’s perhaps the most dangerous presentation of Catholicism to non-Catholics that I’ve ever seen.

Argument by authority is the weakness kind, according to Boethius. Cf St. AugustineHey, we all know Peter got some things wrong - Paul told us so.
