Anyone know approximately what percent of the Mass is straight from the Bible?
The Extraordinary Form has more direct quotes from the Bible contained in the prayers and responses. However even the Ordinary Form can be tied almost 100% to the Scriptures, maybe not direct quotes.Anyone know approximately what percent of the Mass is straight from the Bible?

Wouldn’t it be easier to determine what percent ISN’T from the Bible?Anyone know approximately what percent of the Mass is straight from the Bible?
Before converting to Catholicism, I was spending a good deal of time in “Messianic” fellowships. Some of the rituals that we might not recognize are straight from the Old Testament temple worship. The Sign of the Cross Mt 28:19
The Priest kisses the altar ( a sign of Christ) Mt 26:49.
I like how Scott Hahn says, “there, right between the highlighted verses in my Bible was the Eucharist.”Seems like I read somewhere - maybe one of Scott Hahn’s books? - what the actual percentage was. Prior to converting, the author (whoever it was) was convinced that Catholicism is not a Bible-based religion. When he did his research, he was shocked that most of the Mass was straight from the Bible - way more than any non-Catholic service he had ever been to.
I want to tell that to my CCD class, but can’t remember the exact percentage, or which apologetic book I read it in. I suppose I don’t have to have exact numbers, but I’d love to find that research again so I can re-read it. Does that book ring a bell with anyone?
But what about the announcement about the Adult Bible Study?Wouldn’t it be easier to determine what percent ISN’T from the Bible?
I’ll start.
The ANNOUNCEMENTS are not from the Bible.
