I read something in the Diary of St. Faustina that gave me some consolation … at least for Christians in general. I forget the exact paragraph number but she says something like “I noticed that *most *of the souls in hell were of those who did not believe that hell existed.”

As long as we are faithful Christians who fear offending the Lord, desire heaven, and hate sin, we have slightly less reason to be fearful of our eternal destiny. And on the flip side, even more of an incentive to pray for poor sinners.

1 Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

hopefully purgatory

doc keele: very funny rounding to a hundreth of a percent!😛
probably more like 65% tho

On the other hand It would seem wasteful of God to condemn a majority of His Creation.
We have to remember though that it is the individual that ends up condemning themselves to Hell - not God. He has provided as much as he could for that person yet they are the one’s who reject it in the end.
