Now run-on sentences I can handle. I have lots of experience with them. :cough:

I just think the term “rape culture” is weird. Can people not use terms like rape, assault, harrassment, misogyny, chsuvinism, violence, etc.
You mean list each and every one, every time? And not consider what rape culture might be and how one might unwittingly contribute to it?
No, you use each word as required.

How are schools teaching unmarried sex is a good thing? They are providing alternatives for those who will engage in sex as teens.

If consent is the primary issue, better get it in writing.
The best written consent is a marriage license. After that, it is a matter between the two, except in the most extreme and provable cases. A man or woman that does not understand that should not marry, have sex, or reproduce.
A marriage licence is not a universal consent form.

It is not wrong for someone, even your spouse, to not feel like having sex. They are not somehow in the wrong. It may be a sign of a medical condition or a problem with the relationship.

Using the word rape to discuss rape works but not if I’m specifically discussing rape culture using the things I listed in post #245 at the bottom.

It’s not that far removed from honor killings; they want to get rid of the source of shame.
That’s an excellent point! May I steal this sometime?
This thread will close in a little more than an hour (depending on time zones ) and we’re barely scratching the tip of the iceberg.
Gah! Why is CAF doing this lately?

It’s heated here, but unless I’ve missed something, (likely, I admit), I don’t currently see anything flag-worthy.

You may steal it but i gurss it’s not stealing anymore ☺️ and I noticed the closing posted when there was still 5 hours left.
