What should I do with a Chick tract?

It would merely make sure no one else could possibly read it. A shredder, as someone suggested, would work just as well. None of the martyrs would object either way.
If you are picking up a tract in a public place, and bringing it home to burn or shred it, you are at best wasting effort that could be spent elsewhere - placing a tract you pick up in the trash is enough to prevent others from viewing it. If you are burning it because it is “evil”, then that is superstitious.

If there are multiple tracts, the proper thing to do is inform the management that there is litter/unauthorized pamphlets, and let them handle it. If the management gave permission for the tracts to be distributed, then it would be theft to remove and dispose of the tracts.

  1. Read it, and get a good laugh.
  2. As suggested, rip it up, shred it, burn it, use it for target practice, line your birdcage with em, whatever floats your raft.

It’s hate literature. If there was anti-Jewish or anti-Islamic hate literature being distributed in a place of business or education, it would be treated as a serious (possibly newsworthy) matter and anti-Catholic literature should be treated in the same way. Report it to the head of security for the site where it was found, and if your city has a human rights or anti-discrimination council, report it to them in a formal letter. If they don’t take it seriously, advise them that you will be making a formal complaint to the media that hate literature is being distributed at their place of business or in their city and that they are not taking appropriate action, then send a formal letter to your local news media about the matter.

Keep a page of it to remind you to pray for those who are actively working to trash the Catholic Church.

I believe you are over thinking this thing. 😉
