Here’s my situation:
When I applied to universities, I put on my “extracurricular section” of the apps that I had led high-school confirmation retreats for two years, leading three each of these years. At the time, I had not yet fulfilled this, but was telling them what I intended to do with my senior year, which was (is) not yet completed. At the time, I thought this would be true- that I would lead those many retreats. However, when the retreat weekends came, I missed them- I had work one weekend, another weekend I fell ill, etc. By the time I finish high school I will only have led two retreats, four less than I told the universities.
My question is, is it sinful not to go back and tell the universities that I accidently put the wrong information?
The problem is, I already have been accepted into the university I want to go to, and if I tell them about this they may rescind my admission, as on the application it said that the discovery that any part of the application is false would result in such. And that would be horrible, given that I didn’t intend to lie and I seriously doubt that that one tidbit of information was the “make or break” my application.
Technically, I didn’t take an oath that everything was true or take an oath that I would fulfill these things, if that changes anything.
What should I do?
