What do you mean, how did I know? How did I know that a mother does not want to know her son has seen her husband in bed with another woman? How do I know that a young man could feel personally insulted when his mother is insulted? This does not take any leap of the imagination.

If you mean how did I know that you’re probably not 16, well, this is a very strange post, and sometimes when the author is new at the genre, fiction actually is a lot stranger than the truth. Still, with 16 year olds, the truth does admittedly get very strange, indeed, so I also answered on the long shot that maybe you are on the up-and-up. I really hope not, though. If you are for real, my heart goes out to you, and to your mother.

Ok then so you cannot speak to him today about it then obviously, well at least you have sufficient evidence and your aunt can act as a second witness, but if your Mother sees it she will probably be very upset.

If your aunt is not coming til next week, then it sounds like she is really staying out of the whole affair with your mom and dad. I wouldn’t count on her coming. Even tho you are so young to have to deal with this on your own, you will have to man up and gently prod your dad to admit that yes, he is having an affair and to come clean with your mom.

Tell him that you know, but don’t say anything about the evidence or he will find them and destroy it! That will be the instigator’s natural reaction. To hide their sinful act.

So, that is why you should hide the evidence in a waterproof box in the yard somewhere away from spying eyes (your mom and dad).

Yes, well, doing something like that would be the kind of chutzpah a 16 year old might have. It goes with the territory, but the boldness of the young is a good thing, on the whole, even if it gives the grey-heads even more grey hairs than they already have.

I really do hope in the back of my mind that you’re pulling our legs, mostly because I hope you’re really not going through this. If you are, we wish you the best possible outcome. Do seek counsel from your pastor, if you can. (And if you are pulling our leg, cut it out and go do something useful, you naughty trouble-maker!! :tsktsk:)

If he is for real and 16, then you should know that at that age, their age of reasoning is not that well developed yet not til about 21-25. I know, I used to be that age, and I was still very much a kid and didn’t have a whole lof of common sense! lol.
