I can accept that.

We can gain the upperhand on Islam by putting more emphasis on the biblical command “go forth and multiply,” and also condemning artificial birth control in sermons. Priests seem so afraid to say anything during a sermon that is not pure appeasement of the cafeteria catholics that are so rampant today.

As soon as we can match or exceed their birthrate; we’ll be fine. Few sane people will convert to Islam.

actually i think soviet was a great threat but islam is different.soviet can’t stay in the world even 100 years.but islam is in the world since 610am.i am not the supporter of high birth rate.but if muslim can control their birth rate that will be good both for muslim&christianity.but muslims r just trying to increase their ppl with high birth rate&some emotional convert for so called love.i don’t like western democracy.its extrem.

I agree that the secularism of the West is an extremely pressing issue. But I don’t know if it would be wise for Catholics to seek aid from Muslims in combating it. No offense to you, but I very strongly disagree with Islam, as do most Catholics. There are some very fundamental disagreements between the two religions.

I would also love to not have to think in terms of war and confrontation with Islam. It is the Muslims who force that issue upon us.

We should stop Muslim immigration. If they don’t want to abide by our laws, and hope to use our freedoms against us to undermine our government and set up their barbaric 7th century sharia laws in its place, they can go to an Islamic “paradise”.

We should stop giving in to their never ending demands to accommodate their religious practices which infringe on the rights of others while they deny those same freedoms to non-Muslims in Islamic countries.

Christians have been putting up with nonsense like the Danish cartoons in nonChristian countries for a long time. As I believe firmly in democracy and freedom, it’s something we put up with and tolerate. Muslims can do the same without resorting to violence and murder over some stupid cartoon.

It’s like the pope quoting an early 13th century Christian emperor who said, “Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.”

So, how did some Muslims react? They resorted to violence just as was pointed out in the statement: ransacked churches, kidnapped and murdered Christian nuns, and drove more Christians underground.
