“The Best of Wagner”. Not sure which piece this is – it’s a youtube clip. I know it’s not Ride of the Valkyries or the Tannhaeuser Overture. Those I recognize.

“If You Want To”, Luke Combs

It’s about a group of boys caught drinking, and then smoking mariwhatsit, and getting off by offering the sheriff some. (“We can share if you want to…”)

I love being introduced to young talent. She has a very nice voice. Pleased to hear the R&B influence.
She does have a nice voice, and that choppy bass line caught my attention as well. I was able to watch it live the other day. I think she did up to 8 songs in the studio. Slowdive did a set of 6 songs, btw. So if anyone wants to see their full sets, you have to go to the website. The links are located under the publish date on each of the youtube vids.

Another interesting vocalist:

The Forest Rangers - “Trying To Believe” (feat. Alison Mosshart)

Thanks. The bass line is what established it as R&B, IMO. 🙂 I’ll check out more material from her. I saw she is signed with Virgin EMI. She has enough backing to give her a head start on the competition!

Alison has an edginess though not as rough as Patti Smith. She reminds me (vocal approach) of a singer in the Boston area from the last 70’s. Here’s a rough live performance at a club I played back in the day…
