Very true. Ever since the Fall, Man has struggled with godlust and hubris. But remember Jesus’ words in Matthew 16:18 and combine it with the fact that every Tower of Babel that Man has tried to build has come crashing to the ground.

We are entering the TRUE Dark Ages.This is The Enlightenment``2.0.Voltaire would be overjoyed.It may be back to the catacombs for us but this is a chastisement that is long over due.We win in the end but millions if not billions of souls will be lost and the Church and the Holy Father,will have much to suffer``

I agree Pax. The “enlightenment” period created a crack in the Church and her control of Moral society, just as the reformation did. Leading to the French revolution and the beginnings of the communist/statist ideology which slowly began striping religious based morality from society at large. We can easily see the results today.
 
Despite his atheism, Jean-Paul Sartre had one thing right. Paraphrasing him, he said that if God exists, human life has meaning. If God does not exist, human life is absurd.
