What type of sin is "freak dancing"

Forgive the graphic language that may ensue. Here is the edited description of “freak dancing” and/or “grinding” from urban dictionary.

Definition 1.
It is when a female places her buttocks (clothed) onto the zipper area of a man’s pants. Then, she dances vigorously.

Definition 2.
Obscene dancing which simulates sex by the grinding the of the genetailia with suggestive sounds/movements. often done to pop or hip hop or rap music

Definition 3.
Also Known As Dirty Dancing. When a girl is rubbing her [bottom] all over a guys [penis] until it comes to the point where he gets a[n] [erection].

I often hit up the clubs,school dances, and the like. This is the main type of dancing of this age. Some say it’s “just dancing”. Though I admit this is at least a venial sin. What if one is doing this type of dancing with no sexual intent and no erection? Also, in another situation, what if I am out at the club, get behind a friend and we dance for about 30 minutes and there is the sexual intent. What is it than? I am curious to what the actual church opinion or the community here at catholic answers has to say on this.
 
If done by a married couple in the privacy of their home, it’s great.
I think married people should do all the ‘freak’ dancing they can.

If you’re not married, it comes down to where you let it take you.
Given the nature of the vast majority of us, it has to qualify as an occasion of sin, at least.

Now I’ll step aside and let the conservatives have their shot at it.
 
Stay away from anything sexually suggestive. Sex is for marriage. Suggesting it where it can’t happen is pointless.

If you’re hittin’ up the school dances, I highly doubt that you’re engaging in this type of dancing with no sexual intent. Pardon the blanket, but I’m only 5 years out of there. You may not achieve an erection, and you may not actually want to have sex with the girl, but I’m sure there is sexual feelings. So, it’s lust. Learn swing dancing. You get to look at your partner. In the eyes 😉

Another point is that people find it even more enjoyable than masturbating. I typically, found myself enjoying it more as well during certain times, I admit I am guilty. Would that make it a mortal sin? I still havent found the answer.

I think if you spend some time and look into your heart honestly, you will see the answer. You already know it, but with God’s grace, you will be able to accept it. Mortal sin is a terrible thing to do, but we are not supposed to “settle” for venial sin either.
 
No… I don’t think I know it. I don’t think its grave matter because well, its all in the fun of dancing. Another to point to make is that just because its more enjoyable doesn’t make it more sinful. I just don’t think its mortal because just imagine confessing it to a priest. I don’t think he’d count that as a sin.

Forgive me father… for I was walking around the club, and this girl started dancing on my private parts, and I got an erection, but I kept going for about 30 minutes because she was so attractive.

Does that sound like a mortal sin to you?
 
That’d have to be the weirdest thing to confess to a priest than. Whether it sounds like one or not isn’t the case. But whether it is… does anyone have some definitive answers.

Short, easy and plain answer. Yes, it is a sin. I think you know this already. You are right, just another form of masterbation, how I see it anyhow. You and I both know what this will lead to.

It is certainly sensuality, and likely lustful. A near occasion of sin besides, as it may very well lead to fornication and/or adultery. “Freak” is the repeatable euphemism for the “F” word. "nuff said?

Jesus took Himself to the tax collectors house and prostitutes. I believe it would be a place where the infirmly in respect to faith are, don’t you?

Seeing as we are temples of the Holy Spirit, maybe one should discern whether or not they would bring the Holy Spirit to such a place.

Of course, we know that the Holy Spirit does not reside in those who do not convert their hearts as well as their minds.

Obviously God is there as He is everywhere. The premise of my rhetorical question was to awaken any sense of embarrassment that one might have if they knew that Jesus would accompany them to such an establishment. It was not to undermine the many attempts that Jesus made to call sinners to Himself. After all, that is why He came.
