Ummm, it seems to me we were -somewhat - closer to what you describe in the 14th century.heres a serious answer tho.
for me, the type of world we should strive for would be one where a person is judged for the good he does for his fellow man, and not denied for what a centuries old text says is wrong, especially when those words can be perverted and turned into something that the original creator had never intended, especially when said creators intentions will never be known for sure, because hes not here, and he doesnt speak to us. we should simply accept that if what someones doing harms no one (save maybe themselves) then they should not be shunned, or denied rights, or looked down upon.
live and let live.
In fact for no less than heaven on earth - that’s what we pray for in the Our Father (‘thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven’)I think all should strive for a world where we: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
And
Love your neighbor as yourself.
A Japanese anime is not popular culture, and the English version is a fad that has already died out. (I still like it though, and I do not like the English version). You get many of your deeply held beliefs from pop culture Ribozyme. . .
oh, come on, anime is totally pop culture, just as much as comics or any other nerd thing is. i say this as a fellow nerd!A Japanese anime is not popular culture, and the English version is a fad that has already died out. (I still like it though, and I do not like the English version).
I also hold beliefs from peopel such as Peter Singer and John Rawls; I doubt most people even name them.
