Olivia Newton-John’s Greatest Hits Vol II

Everytime I hear a young kid sing inappropriate (ambiguous) lyrics to a modern song, I have to remember that I once went around singing “let’s get physical”. 😊

Despite my manly screen name, mine was New Kids on the Block. The Hangin Tough album.

Laugh as you will.

One of the Four Seasons albums, but I don’t remember specifically which one. About the same time, the Turtles Greatest Hits album.
Nine was The Four Seasons Greatest Hits Vol. 2
(and I still have it!)🙂

Does anyone remember picture disks? They had the album art on the vinyl and where in a clear sleeve with border. I had The Wall on 8 track, but I can’t remember my first album. Tim
I have The Talking Heads Speaking in Tongues picture disk somewhere.

My first album was The United States Navy Band album that I got at a garage sale. I was in preschool. They had the Marine’s hymn on it, and I remember singing that song endlessly…

From the halls of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli,
We fight our country’s battles
In the air, on land, and sea.
First to fight for right and freedom,
And to keep our honor clean,
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marines.

That and Anchor’s Aweigh.

Pretty strange, huh?

First record? A 45, “Rock On” by David Essex.

Album, it was The Beatles 1967-1970.

“The Captain and Me” by the Doobie Brothers. Still a great album, although I have the cd now and no turntable to listen to the album, which I still have.

Peace

Tim
