What was your wedding song?

Our first dance was Fields of Gold by Sting.

However, we had karaoke and DH decided to give it a try. So, we actually consider I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) by the Proclaimers “our song.” It was really touching. He crashed and burned so badly that all 8 of his brothers and sisters got up there and sang it with him. :grouphug: :extrahappy: :dancing:
 
We didn’t dance at our wedding, but our processional was Joy Go With My Love, a guitar traditional, and our recessional was Debussy’s The Snow is Dancing. We were married in late December.

Our hymns were St. Patrick’s Breastplate and Be Thou My Vision.

I don’t remember any of the songs at the wedding. The song mirrors my thoughts in that Love isn’t a feeling it is a decision by two people. It is Something That We Do.

We were married on April 14th of this year and are North Carolinians, so our choice was obvious- JAMES TAYLOR! We choose “your smiling face”

It was so wonderful!😉
 
The first song that my husband, Ed and I danced to was…The song a French priest wrote for the Jubillee year and Andre Bocelli sang it.

I danced with my Daddy to “Danny Boy”…My husband danced with his Mommy “When Irish Eyes are smiling”…Bing Crosby.

We just celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary.

It was the only day in NJ when it snowed. Ed’s brother married us…it was a beautiful Mass. Many of our friends and family were moved to tears when a girl we know, who had the voice of an angel sang the “Ave, Maria.”

During reception we danced to AC/DC, Chicago, Shania Twain, and other music…
