It doesn’t surprise me that Little Green Footballs, a haven for chickenhawks and armchair warriors of all stripes, would cite something “translated” by MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute).

MEMRI was founded by a retired Israeli colonel from military intelligence and is co-run by Meyrav Wurmser, wife of David Wurmser. Mr. Wurmser served in Douglas Feith’s Pentagon Office of Special Plans. This is the office which helped manufacture the case that Iraq had WMD and links to Al Qaeda.

Those interested can view this link - Osama Threatening Red States - which is an example of MEMRIs penchant for cherry picking the most extreme Islamic rhetoric and passing it off as mainstream Muslim opinion.

Muslims have been talking about ruling the world since the 7th century. It’ll never happen because history shows that Muslims have a penchant for falling into disunity. The best way to address the “Muslim threat” is to leave it alone, IMHO. There’s a word for the notion that Islam is on the verge of “ruling” America, or the world: preposterous.

Yeah, that’s a great idea. Let’s just leave them alone and hope they don’t do antything like fly planes into our buildings or anything. I honestly don’t know what planet you inhabit. It is precisely because these guys were left alone that we have the Mullah-ocracy in Iran, the former Taliban in Afghanistan, and Wahabbism rampant in Saudi Arabia and being promoted in mosques throughout the West. You should see what literature sits in the racks at the loal mosque, and where it is published.

I agree that the Muslim take-over of the world is a pipe-dream, but they could still do a lot of damage. One doesn’t have to go back very far in history to find guys whose pipe dreams of world domination caused a lot of death and destruction. Or would that just be wishful thinking by an “armchair warrior”?

I notice that you don’t actually dispute the source as accurate. Because you can’t. And this isn’t some raving voice in some obscure newspaper, this was broadcast throughout the entire PA on the official PA television station. This is their equivalent of government programming!! And these guys have a way of putting their words into action, in case you haven’t noticed.

Go, ahead and stick your head in the sand. It’ll make it that much easier to sever it from the rest of your body once they get a hold of you.

Here is a list of European countries which were occupied by Muslims (either Arabs, Moors, or Ottoman Turks):
Spain 800 years, Portugal 600 years, Greece 500 years, Sicily 300 years, Serbia 400 years, Bulgaria 500 years, Rumania 400 years, Hungary 150 years… Italy, Austria, Bosnia, Croatia, Wallachia, Albania, Moldavia, Armenia, Georgia, Poland, the Ukraine, and eastern and southern Russia were all battlefields where Islam conquered or was conquered in violent conflicts, spread over considerably more than a thousand years… stopped in France by Charles Martel.

Bill Clinton tried to leave the Muslim threat alone after the 1st WTC bombing, again when the USS Cole was attacked. they just wouln’t stop until they got our full attention.

You make it sound as if those were religious wars. The wars between Poland and the Ottoman Turks were simply wars between two countries. Neither side made any references to their Christianity or their Islam as part of the campaigns.

I inhabit a planet in which my great country invaded another country which posed no threat whatsoever to it.

I inhabit a planet in which my country did this under false pretenses.

I inhabit a planet in which 1,600+ Americans have been killed and close to 20,000 wounded in this enterprise which I consider a fool’s errand.

I inhabit a planet in which my country has killed thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians in the name of “liberation”, or “WMD”, or “ties to Al Qaeda”, or…

I inhabit a planet in which my government seems intent on making as many enemies as it can while leaving our borders virtually unprotected.

I inhabit a planet where, in the name of “security” and “fighting terrorism”, my country and its citizens are losing more and more of the freedoms we used to take for granted.

I inhabit a planet in which we ordinary citizens and our children will be subjected to “terror alerts” and, God forbid, another attack, for years to come - thanks to the foreign policy of our government.

I inhabit a planet in which my country is more and more enamored of military solutions to problems – soultions in which it’s always the “other guys” who get bombed.

Don’t lecture me about sticking my head in the sand. I can see clearly where we’re headed.
 
I live on a planet where children 5 year olds are taught their god will only come once all the Jews are dead.

I live in a world where over 2,000 people have been killed THIS YEAR by radicals who strap high explosive packs under 25 to 50 pounds of carefully positioned 3’’ steel nail belts and then have their families financially rewarded once they’ve murdered dozens of innocent people.

I live on a planet where Middle East Oil Shieks with no ties to my country (.0018% of their population) control 99.989% of their countries wealth, which funds worldwide terrorism through 3rd parties willing to fight against democracy and the RIGHT way. the American way. I live in a world where nations still sanction child slavery and human trafficking for profit.

I live on a planet where people behead Fathers, Sons and innocent civilians while hiding behind scarves. COWARDS.

I live on a planet where Saddam killed over 500,000 of his own people and buried the bodies in shallow graves for the daughters and mothers and wives to find years later.

I live on a planet where people flew large airplanes into buildings in my country, killed innocent lives and danced in the streets to celebrate the slaughter.

I live in a country great enough to tolerate the liberal left and let them exist while promoting a plan worldwide to destroy those who threaten the core of this country.

I live in a world that believes what hollywood and madison avenue feeds it, liberal, anti-American pablum that sells papers and funds the private ego wars these media outlets foster.

I live in a world where muslim extremists would put a bullet in my brain because i believe Jesus Christ is God.

Your country was attacked by al-Qaeda. Saddam was sheltering al-Qaeda. Saddam was at war with your country and if it wasn’t for 100 air sorties a week of the military of your country, he would no longer be controlled and would have killed hundreds of thousands of his own people. France and Russia we now know was being bribed by Saddam to get rid of the sortes. Saddam was embezzeling billions and was plotting against your country. Saddam wanted to attack your country and according to Russia, was planning an attack.

No, this was no fools errand, unless you think fighting for your and others freedom is a fools errand.

gilliam, gilliam, gilliam. You know there are about 60 countries sheltering al-Queda (meaning it maintains a presence in about 60 countries). How many do you want to attack? Please give us the list.

And BTW, my post dealt with the Iraq War, not the fight against Al Queda. They are not one and the same.
