Welcome to the forum Ronald!
2) How do Bible Students justify Russell’s incorporation of some aspects of occult (pyramids, astrology, masons, etc).
Russell never incorporated any aspects of occultism (as that word is usually used). He was interested in one pryamid (not pyramids), as a corroboration of the Bible. The term occultism is often used in connection witchcraft, astrology, seances, ouija boards, spiritism, etc. Russell’s study of the Great Pyramid in connection with the Bible had nothing to do with such occultism.

Russell denounced astrology (as that word is used today).

(See the file on: Astrology and Russell)

Russell was not a member of the Masons, nor was he ever involved in any occultic Masonic practices.

When JWs come to my door, they also identify themselves as “bible students”. I have to really pin them down to get them to admit they are representing the WTBS.

Reslight, what church or fellowship is your “bible student” movement associated with? Does it have a name?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

The Bible Students movement is the association. There is no central authority, except a recognition of Jesus and his apostles, and the prophets (in short, the Bible). The general name is “Bible Students”. Some local congregations associated with the general movement do name their local congregations by various names, and there are several ministries or service organizations provided by different names, but the general name is “Bible Students”.

Some of the names of ministries/service organizations:

Jesus would say the same thing that He does to all of us, unless you eat my Body and drink my Blood, you will have no life with in you. Anyone who eats my Body and drinks my Blood will have life everlasting.

And of couse as all Catholics here know and believe, He meant this literally, not figuratively.

He would sit down with him and have a long conversation and explain a lot of things. In the Bible he used metaphors, but Russell couldnt understand that so Jesus would explain it simply and clearly. And he would use the story of how he healed on the sabbath to show that blood transfusions are good, and also the story of how he said 'nothing that goes into a man from the outside can defile him.'He would probably use a clever similie to show that he is God(maybe something like St.Patricks shamrock)and he would explain that it is not for man to predict when God will decide to end the world. He would probably show him that Jehovah isnt really Gods proper name, too. He would also show him that verse in Revelations, which says there was more people in heaven then could be counted, and not just 144000.Then Russell would listen, and he and Jesus would become very good friends and tell everyone about it.
