What would you do if it were proven...?

First time for everything? You refer, of course, to my ‘reading problem’. I thought ‘reading problems’ were more or less a permanent problem, at least without expert coaching. Of course, it can manifest when below average writing has to be dealt with. Of course, that wouldn’t apply to you. I am indeed fortunate to have run into you.
John21652;7712994:
True enough. I only hope your self awareness has improved somewhat since that dance and your riches haven’t diminished.
John21652;7712994:
Well, I’ll be…Thank you for pointing that out to me. Now I see the problem. You see, I was always taught to read from left to right. I’ll work on the problem, of course.
John21652;7712994:
Oh, they were kindly supplied by CAF. I don’t think CAF would be at all pleased to have you call them ‘beady’ and ‘little’. I see you have also been taught to read from left to right. If you had followed your own teachings, you’d also have glanced to the top right and been able to work out that an American spellcheck is of no use to me whatsoever.

  1. *]
*]Strange, I don’t think I wrote about fence posts, so we can rule them out. And if I can’t tell the difference between a fence post and a Fibonaccii number, than I have truly excelled all expectations by managing to write of it and not a fence post.
*]Oh, but I do know! Your assumption fails. See top right corner.
*]Oh my, such whopping assumptions you make! For a man supposedly involved in science, that’s not only unbecoming, it’s dangerous for the rest of us.

True, to a point. It also depends greatly on how you define ‘ignorant’. Some people have a whole lot of “different knowledge” and I usually find the ignorant are to be found amongst those who show intolerance for the "knowledge’ that is different. It shows up their own ignorance. It should be. I’ll guide you gently, as a true friend should. I don’t want you inadvertently siting on a fence post, like a turtle.

    Cheers. 👍

  1. My relationship with you is coming along better than most. I see that you have *almost *learned how to spell Fibonacci, an Italian name which ought to spell-check the same in Brit and American English. Sorry, but I don’t compensate for Aussies. It is impossible. The cool ones would not stand for it, and you really would not either. At the rate you’re coming along, I’ll wager a pound of 'roo meat that you’ll have it nailed before three more posts on the subject.

Then you can explain in your own words to the hundreds of CAF readers who are wondering, exactly what Fibonacci numbers are, and their relationship to biological life forms (which, IMO, are not coincidental).

Although I hate to admit it, I appreciate a man who doesn’t pass up a good straight line. You’d be even more fun if you could grow a mustache and learn to appreciate their hazards. Until then you’ll manage to get by with just boogers, like other Australians.

A couple of years ago a friend emailed the turtle/fence post joke, and as I recall it was pretty funny. But now that I’m in my dotage I’ve forgotten it. Help?

Well, you might try asking one or two of us.

I get out of bed for a lot of reasons: because I enjoy the company of my friends and family, because I enjoy my work, because I enjoy the beauty of another morning…

…but usually I get out of bed because my alarm will not stop ringing.
Don’t you just hate it when life gets in the way of your nihilism?

After a lot of reading, thinking, and crying, I fell to my knees and the Lord has entered my life.

Today’s date is April 1st.

Come on, do I have to draw you a diagram, too?
Oh yes, THAT’S what you meant. Then I guess he didn’t convert. I actually never bought it, but I wanted to know what you meant.

Hey Johnny boy. I’ve been away for a while. Some good points you have raised. With regards to the atheists. I am not having a dig. I just honestly fInd nihilism and atheism a desperately depressing state. Thankfully just one round of the stations of the cross is enough to convince me that life does have meaning. Peace.

I noticed you’d been away. I thought you might have gone to the subcontinent to support your new found glory!!😃

Indeed the atheists still need God. Without God they’d have nothing to argue about!! 😉

April Fools! 😃
Speaking of which, does anyone know what happened to my delightful “I Have Seen the Light” thread, which was my (deliberately unsubtle) April Fools joke this year? Was it just one of those threads that vanishes for no reason at all and without explanation?

I saw it in the afternoon on 4/1. Even though I obviously know your position, if I didn’t it was still very obvious that it was sarcastic, though I saw a comment on there that was genuinely proud of your statement.

By googling “I Have Seen the Light site:forums.catholic-questions.org” I think I found it. It does appear to be one of those threads. I was hoping that I could find a cache on google, but I didn’t.

That happened to me once when I started a thread on the morality of homosexuality.

For those who are atheists - “What would you do if it were proven to your satisfaction that God does exist
If that were the case, I would believe in that god, and would try to learn much about him.

I would worship him if, and only if, I judge him as being worthy of worship.

…I would worship him if, and only if, I judge him as being worthy of worship.
So you’re only willing to worship a G-d who is inferior to you? A G-d who has to meet the standards that you set? Why don’t you just worship yourself? I don’t see a difference between the G-d you want to worship and yourself.
