What's a "man's" work duty?

Working 70+ hours a week makes it nearly impossible to conduct a successful job search. Quitting before having a new job will let you devote yourself fully to job hunting. Maybe not too irresponsible after all in my opinion. đź‘Ť
 
You also have some serious work to do on your communication. It sounds like both of you are desperately hoping for the other to change but not actually talking seriously about the future or trying to work out a compromise.
