I’m always reading offhand comments about “now if we could have more Masses like the EWTN Mass” and the like. What is an EWTN Mass like? What kind of music do they have?
Are bishops allowed to do that?they’d been refused permission from the local bishop to broadcast ad orientem Masses
It is my understanding that any broadcasting from inside a church requires permissionAre bishops allowed to do that?
Pax tecum! The EWTN Mass is very bland, regardless of the occasion. The architecture of the chapel is horrid as well.
Quite the contrary! The Mass on EWTN is full of reverence and full of beauty. The EWTN Mass is very bland, regardless of the occasion. The architecture of the chapel is horrid as well.

There’s a fineline between reverence and liturgical snobbery.Quite the contrary! The Mass on EWTN is full of reverence and full of beauty.
Could it be that they have turned off the world and trun on to Christ…There’s a fineline between reverence and liturgical snobbery.
I can understand where some people watch that mass and interpret it as something that is not very life giving. No one there seems to be joyful or even remotely happy to be at mass.
Indeed they could have…Could it be that they have turned off the world and trun on to Christ…
Then you better put a sign on your veil so we’ll all know it’s you.EWTN Holy Mass is heaven on Earth.
We hope to attend this summer LIVE!

I’ll be the “matronly” one with the darling blond girls and the very tall, very handsome hubby! Then you better put a sign on your veil so we’ll all know it’s you.![]()
Frommi likes the Dance Hall look, I suspect.Au contraire!!!
The architecture is noble, and looks to me as if it was done by craftsmen. I esp. love the adoring angels on either side of the monstance.
