I read the article and am less than impressed.
The Vatican ordered visitations of some communities of “Sisters” because some Sisters,
like Carol Keehan (mentioned in John Allen’s article) take actions that are beyond the pale. I much prefer the actual statement from Cardinal George released to the Bishops. This statement was just released in writing yesterday, after the Bishops heard it.

In some ways the response of the Bishops to these potentially heretical Catholic organizations remind me of the schoolyard retort “Oh yeah, I’ll fix you…” A lot is said but there doesn’t appear to be much action. It’s no wonder the general laity is confused and frustrated!
