My friend, I will give you the advice several different priests gave to me (same advice, different priest, same Jesus!).
Realize that to be tempted and to be weak (and sin) is human. Through God and prayer and frequent sacraments we learn to die to our human nature. Repressing and denying this human nature will only amplify it, as it did for me, and as it seems to be doing for you.
First, praise God that he has made you a healthy man (woman?) when you are tempted, and thank Him that he has given you this opportunity to grow in holiness. Embrace your human nature, welcome the temptations into your life instead of running away from them. But, welcome them and offer them up to Jesus, so that he may help you deal with them.
Second, remember Jesus came in full flesh. He had all the same tempations that you and I do. When i was deep in my hole of sin, i remember saying “Jesus, you must have had these problems, help me”, and it helps.
Praying is good, sacraments are good, but don’t forget your humanity in there!
