Hi, Patrick457,

Oh, that question is an easy one…😃

To be more serious: why is Jesus so tall in that mural? Was He on stilts?

They were all really tall back then … but, over the years … we have shunk to our current size. If things keep going this way - we will have to be on stilts! 😃

God bless

Sweet! They even use the cover of the Simon Necronomicon.
Which reminds me: not all that claim to be authentic Necronomica (is that the plural? :D) out there are close to the ‘real’ thing (the Simon Necronomicon in fact is criticized for this aspect - it fails to include any of the contents that Lovecraft actually describes). Even Lovecraft once said that, “if anyone were to try to write the Necronomicon, it would disappoint all those who have shuddered at cryptic references to it.

True. I read the thing as a teenager, it had to do with swords and gates and Sumerian references. Also, the intro had references to Wicca. It was either in the intro or the foreward, I do not remember which as it has been 20 years or so.

Hi, Bryan,

My wife and I will pray for you and the success of your efforts on the Tiber Swim Team! 🙂

By the way, what does your German(?) expression at the bottom of your post mean?

Thanks and God bless

I’m not Brian, but the Yiddish proverb at his sig (א) מענטש טראַכט, און גאָט לאַכט); (A) Mentsh tracht und Gott lacht) means: “Man thinks (plans) and God laughs.” 🙂
The German version is: Der Mensch denkt und Gott lenkt.

That’s it. Man Plans and God Laughs.

Thank you so much. I need all the prayers I can get to move my wife from her rock of anti-Catholicism.

To answer the original question, I’m not sure if this has been posted before, but when I was younger I read it and KNEW Catholicism was a false religion… until I looked at the sites homepage ;).
(Removed link to grossly anti-Catholic site per forum rule. No citation issued. :))
just remove everything after the “.com” to see the rest.

With the exception of the last post or two you guys need to get back on topic so I don’t have to close this thread.

I still hear people saying that the Catholic Church causes Jesus to suffer and die each time a mass is said.

Also, currently First Baptist Church of Lexington is running radio ads decrying any church that teaches the Trinity to be heretical.

Wow, unbelievable.
That is hilarious. Whoever owns that site must have never picked up a history book in their life. It’s really ironic that the site is covered with demonic symbolism.

I was a bit disappointed though that I didn’t see a list of “evil” websites that included this forum-- now THAT would have been hysterical.

Just checking in to see if everyone has their basement dug and purchased their firearms.
I don’t have a gun, but you will be happy to know I have just about enough money saved up to buy a tank 😃

Hi, JonathonofOhio,

I hope you are at least looking at one of those ‘hybred’ tanks … you know, the last thing you want is a gas guzzler! 😃 Maintenance and parking fees alone will do violence ot anyone’s piggy bank! And, then there are the civil authorities who take a dim view of those tank treds tearing up their streets! In our area - they are strictly ‘off road’ vehicles!

Best wishes on your up-coming purchase! I know you will be the talk of the town…😃

God bless

I just like how anyone opposing the CC always has a preface stating, " this is not intended to be offensive…" or “not to be rude but…” I had a friend once tell me that he really liked what the Catholic Church teaches, but, Mary… blah blah blah.(I can’t repeat what he said, it was highly offensive)" Unfortunately, I don’t talk to that ‘friend’ any more. I’ve also had a friend, knowing that I am Catholic, say “the Stupid Catholic Church” anytime the subject of religion came up. just in passing. no reference or reason as to why she felt that way. I believe it was because she was in the midst of a divorce and her husband was or is Catholic. not sure, merely speculation.
