I thought I was obvious it was sarcasm
I did think - I thought of a funny mental image, chuckled and posted.we think before we post.
Then you really need to talk to the Pastor about this. What he is doing is seriously wrong. If your Pastor is not willing to deal with this, then you need to speak to the Bishop about this. Lectors, deacons and priests must read what is exactly written in the Lectionary, nothing more and nothing less.This guy admitted he doesn’t like the text and changes it.
He also changed a whole passage in order to diminsh a substantial point about sin!!
Like the time when I was cantoring and almost sang “Be not afraid, I goes before E always, I follows E when it comes after C”I have to be careful reading when there is a song from the text I am reading
