Good to know. But note that this ‘theology’ existed long before there was a divide between Churches. It is a common heritage (though some may now reject it).…While I’m not Catholic, I find Catholic thought such as this very important, and in many ways I agree.

At this time in history, in our modern society, the widespread and largely unfettered access to weaponry by the citizenry is, on balance, likely to* lead to** more harm than good.* This is my judgement.… the mere ownership of firearms is more harmful than good.
This is your judgement on history Jon, but we don’t live in the past. Nevertheless, I presume it is your judgement of the present too.All I’m saying is that the facts of history prove without a doubt that citizen ownership of firearms is far more good than harmful.
