I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

That’s my lawn and my castle! LOL In my dreams! It’s a lovely photo. Thank you for posting it. 🙂

Marigolds for the appearance, lily of the valley for the fragrance.

Roses are my favourite. I like tulips a lot, too.

I give up choosing !!😅
I am with you there, but I will add Marigolds.

And marigolds are pretty easy to take care of, always a plus. I like their cheerfulness.

There’s a type of geranium that is meant to ,not sure if it’s the pinapplescented one?

The first flower I thought of was the lily, because my name apparently means lily in Hebrew… so naturally I like those 😉 I like all white flowers. I would usually say freesia is my favourite flower because some of them smell really beautifully (some have an odd smell, too, though). I also like irises, roses, tulips… I even like the humble bluebells, buttercups and daisies that grow in the fields. Speaking of fields, I really like the rape (not a nice name) flower, too… when you see fields of them.

Oh yes I probably would be 🙂 There’s a big one up the road,with a small purple pink flower and the leaves are almost a bit sticky ,the leaf not so round like a geranium but more fingered.If you brush against it the scent is there.

Great list Greenie.
Marigolds repel a variety of insects like the Tomato Horn Worm, and the root system kills off the nasty Root-Knot Nematode under ground. It is a great companion plant in the veggie garden, and attracts many good insects like bees. I plant them near my tomato and cucumber plants.

Since you mention poppies, here are some California Poppies, our state flower, growing wild in the Santa Monica Mountains, from a hike I did there last week.

Those are my mother’s favourite flowers, so that’s what came to my mind first, but I’m having a hard time picking just one.
