Whats YOUR view of Trumps appointments so far?

Romney is not a popular choice for many republicans. But I think Trump views him as a man who can help him negotiate business deals. His priority. And one who may be able to craft his speech for different audiences, so to say. I wouldn’t get a rash if Romney was selected. If he failed to produce positive results he could be replaced quite easily.

I also think it’s his business mentality, his religion, his outspokenness against trump, and blowback for losing. But I like the pick and I like Romney.

It’s got tremendous upside. It shows trump can work with others, at the same time it covers the old " keep your enemies closer" adage. And if trump decides for two terms it takes one of his biggest critics and silences him.

People will take time to get used to not having a polititian but rather a businessman in charge. It’s a different way of doing things.

It’s also why Cruz will be in the Supreme Court by 2020.

It’s simply a difference of opinion about what’s best for this country.

Asserting that his choices are not so great does not necessarily indicate intellectual inadequacy nor inadequate moral development. Well, that’s my opinion.

Of course, this idea could be applied to the president-elect as well as the posters here on CAF.

With multiple news sources indicating McMorris Rodgers will be announced shortly to lead Dept. of Interior there are not many positions remaining!

It certainly seems a mix of power business execs, outstanding minds for military defense, strong deregulatory positions and some rising republicans.

Two women appointed positions, Governor Nikki Haley and Cathy McMorris Rodgers both gave rebuttal state of the union addresses (2014, 2016).

I was a bit surprised reading Rex W. Tillerson, (chairman, president and CEO of Exxon Mobil) is now expected to be named Sec of State. But this would follow the pattern.

Liveris is head of Dow Chemical based in Midland, Michigan.

Last night, at the Grand Rapids, Michigan Trump rally, Liveris said Dow Chemical would open a new state of the art Innovation Center in Michigan … a research and development center … employing several hundred engineers, scientists and others.

I read over the linked article biographies; thanks for sharing. Dr. Carson’s name has come up in discussions of several possible positions. I wonder why he is not being mentioned as a future Surgeon General as that seems to better fit with his medical training?

HUD spends $45 BILLION each year to build new ghetto housing to keep minorities IN PLACE.

Dr. Carson wants to BREAK those forces that keep blacks and Hispanics in those frozen positions and to educate them to get out of those ghettos.

HUD wants to build new ghettos in middle class American communities, but Carson wants to motivate people with more and better education. He can work with DeVos to raise people UP instead of pushing them down.

He was talking about abolishing the Dept of Education – and I wish he would! – so why not just leave the position open and abolish the thing ASAP?

Well you know, politicians do a lot of talking but that’s usually about the end of it!
