Dear Conservative,
I too am in the midst of enduring the “impossible”. I have prayed for God’s help and intervention.I think He has answered my prayers, but not the way I would have wished for. I am entering into a situation that up til now I would have concidered impossible to endure. I prayed when I saw this situation developing, and even now that it is continuing and developing into what I would have called a worst case, God has not kept this away from me or apparently answered me in a way I can hear. I know that nothing happens that is not out of His will for me, and since this situation is happening,it must be His will. I am aready experiencing a kind of grace for enduring this, as I’ve rarely been faithful like this to Him under these kind of conditions in the past.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord!!
This mornings reading about how Our Lord suffered though He’d done no wrong, was a great help to me as an example. Of all people the one human being who had never deserved any punishment at all, suffered without complaint!! Now I on the other hand, am not in any way blamless, like the good thief, I deserve my punishment.I can only ask that God preserve me from despair and giving up. I ask for His strength to endure what He has for me and to be a good example to my family and wife. He has answered my prayer for strength, because I am not collapsing like I was afraid I might only a few weeks ago.
I hope this helps. One more thing I’ve noticed that in this time of trial, that praying praise and the different theophanies from scriptures really helps. It seems to drive the devil away and take my spiritual eyes off of myself and on Him who is my strength.
