Matthew 16:23
But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”
This verse has often made me wonder if Jesus knew when he met Judas, that he would be instrumental in his crucifixion. And then there is this:
Luke 2:35, Saint Simeon prophesied to Mary “a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
So what are your thoughts, did our Lord know or have an idea that Judas would betray him. I think it is clear after or at the agony in the garden if not before, he did. Could it have been that he knew “someone” would betray him?
