Hi, Gottle of Geer

quote: Gottle of Geer
Thanks to the global reach of the US Colossus, Fundamentalism is infecting the rest of us. 😦
Of course, this ā€œglobal reachā€ also assists RCC
missionaries, as well, n’est-ce pas? Colossus?
In terms of denominations, is not the RCC the Colossus,
with over a billion faithful?

Best,

Peter Kreeft once said, ā€œWhen Catholics become evangelized, Protestants will become sacrementalized.ā€
I think that there is some wisdom in those words. Protestants are Protestants because they want a pure relationship with Christ, yet that is a Catholic truth as well. When Catholics truly have that relationship with Christ (and Protestants see it), Prostestants will become Catholics to become better Protestants. Let us pray that day comes soon.

ā€œThat they may be oneā€

Protestants will never disappear because the spirit of rebellion will never disappear from the face of the earth.

Always there will be those who ā€œprotestā€ that no one is going to tell them how to think or how to act. And even if various Protestant groups stopped complaining about the Catholic Church, they would never stop ā€œprotestingā€ each other.

I think Kreeft is right.

I think you’re right, as well.

Thanks for sharing the thought,

Madaglan:
How many more years do you give Protestantism before it essentially collapses, vanishes from the world (save a crazed intellectual here and there)? It took a few hundred years for Arianism to dissapear, and just a few less for Cathars to fade away. The Montanists lasted a few centuries, before the last remnants were restored to the Church (by St. Augustine if I remember correctly). Gnosticism lasted for a long while in the West before being controled.

Any prophesies on the fall of Protestantism are most welcome 😃
Hi
As soon as Christ comes back and takes us home.

Why is it that most protestants demon. or non, seem to think that we (Catholics) are the ones who will be left behind? I just don’t get it. Has the Catholic Church been wrong for over 2000 years? If so can any protestant tell me why the Catholic Church is wrong and please site your references. I don’t want to hear because of this or that. I want to be able to read it. And please also make the site a realible one. I’ve seen many and they all are anti-catholic so to me it is not valid. For most, if not all, are opinionated. I need actual proof that it is wrong. Please make sure they go as far back as the early church fathers please. Something that can go back only 100 years is weak and you all know it.

Hi Everyone,šŸ™‚
I don’t believe the Catholic Church is totally in error, but I don’t also believe in its Primacy anymore, among the Christian Churches.
I believe that the Universal Church was started by Jesus Christ, needing the faith of at least one person to begin the construction. With each stone / rock added to the construction, the church gets stronger. Peter, granted was the first to confess his faith in Jesus, and thus the beginnings of the Church took place, but Peter and the Apostles were to go out and spread the Word, as equals. We as Christian’s, regardless of denomination are a part of that Church, and whilst at least one person confesses faith in Jesus Christ, the Universal Church of Christianity shall stand…the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
The Bishop of Rome was not instated as top dog until an Emperor with an axe to grind chose the Bishop of Rome over the Bishop of Constantanople.
Gregory 1st refused the title of Pope, but his successor Boniface III didn’t…in the 7th Century!
Jesus made various references to the fact that no one Apostle was better than the other, which is good enough for me.
Having said that, I have deep respect for the Pope.

This post is not meant to disrespect the Catholic Church in any way; and I am certainly not looking for an arguement. I appreciate my view will not be shared by many, and that is fine by me.
May we all have faith in God and His Word.

Peace and Love šŸ™‚
