The “Catholic Answers” link referenced in post #18 contains, in part, the following:I don’t see any credibility in the idea that God picked out two semi-humans in a group, dropped in souls, and they became human. Divinely revealed truth must be brought into consideration when talking about the ontological leap to man. Science can only see a part of the whole picture.

This seems to contradict your statement.
