I often felt about it a lot. When I saw my friends get their dreams but in my turn I wasn’t able to get any. I got angry with God twice. I mean really angry, I sat at the church and angry with Him, I asked so many questions even I said that why it happened to me but it was not my mistake. Somebody mistake but I should responsible. But after that there was a very little voice said “Did I do any mistake so I deserved to be crucified?” then I cried but felt peace.
So, please don’t give up and keep your faith strong. I still feel jealousy some time until now, but when I will think my journey in my life, so I can try to accept it and try to understand that my time isn’t there and God tells me to wait.
God bless
I love that thanks for sharing it.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, that when you cry out to God for help,it seems like things get worse. .
as I said in another thread, what happens when we pray is that God answers us, and gives us what we need, which is not necessarily a resolution to the crisis or problem, but the strength to deal with it, a renewed trust in Him, a consciousness of our own helplessness and need for utter faith, and recognition that our strength comes from him, not ourselves. His purpose is to use the problem to bring us closer to Him, which he does in His way, not according to our direction. It is a simple fact that often a crisis has to worsen before it gets better, just in the natural course of things, and just as we find our strength in God through prayer and faith, the problem reaches that stage, and we find after all He has given us resources to deal with it.

never thought I would us the “Almighty” movies to make a point, but in the second in the series, Morgan Freeman as God makes a point to the lady who is leaving her husband because he is acting like Noah. She has prayed and does not understand why her prayers have not been answered. He says that God does not take the problem away when we pray, he gives us what we need to deal. She prayed for patience and fortitude, so, he says, God gave her the opportunity to practice and perfect patience and fortitude within her own family situation. So she should not be running away, but using that circumstance to practice the virtues.

It’s spiritual warfare. The evil one hears your cries to God as well. Satan wants you to give up, not God. Satan wants you to feel abandoned by God so that you will abandon God yourself. But God will never never abandon you. The only way to combat it is to cling to the Lord ever more tightly. Pray for your enemies, give thanks for your struggles. This is the only way to combat Satan. God does not want you to get discouraged, Satan does. You really must pray more, because you are under attack, and prayer is your only valuable weapon in these situations. Believe me, I know how hard that advice is. God sees your struggles though, and He is always with you, even when you feel He’s not there at all. Remind yourself often through the day that God is your Father, that you are precious to Him. Pray unceasingly! Pray for all people who suffer the same trials you are suffering now.

The following tract may be of some help to you. May God bless you in your struggles.

SUFFERING

How to Make the Greatest Evil in
Our Lives Our Greatest Happiness

by Fr. Paul O’Sullivan, O.P.](Suffering by Fr. Paul O' Sullivan, O.P.)
Thank you for your kind words BeeSweet, and thanks for that link on suffering. :hug1:
Thanks to everybody for all your advice and encouragement. I was thinking about what BeeSweet said regarding spiritual warfare. I had started saying the Divine Mercy Chaplet for this problem and was on the third day when this incident happened. I stopped saying it on that day because I felt so upset. I think I had better start over and start saying it again.
“In spite of satan’s anger, The Divine Mercy will triumph over the whole world and be worshipped by all souls.”
~The Diary of St. Faustina: Divine Mercy in My Soul
I had been praying the chaplet of Divine Mercy (and the Rosary) daily for some time, but I got upset and stopped doing so too. 😊 How wrong of me to turn away when that’s what I need to do the most! I prayed the chaplet the other night and felt such peace – I need to get back to praying again. Thanks for this thread, which is reinforcing that which I already knew but was ignoring in my sadness and frustration. :o

Hi I read this and although it is correct it is not all there is to it.
“It’s spiritual warfare. The evil one hears your cries to God as well. Satan wants you to give up, not God. Satan wants you to feel abandoned by God so that you will abandon God yourself”.

The evil one does hear when we pray aloud. Sure satin wants you to give up BUT and it is BUT …God governs what amount of strength there is in the temptation and satin can only do what God allows.Remember that God is just and therefore WILL NOT give you any more than you are able to take (even though it seems more). God also has gone before you to prepare the way ( even though satin will tell you He hasn’t). Lastly remember that while you are going through this God is there right beside you if you wish to speak to Him.

You should remember also that the temptation is not to punish but to allow you to see how weak we are without God and that crying out to God for help even and especially while in pain and temptation is the point of God showing you His love in the end (as Jesus went through). Tis builds you to become closer to God.

“I know a person that is young good looking and is living a dream I only wish I could. That makes me jealous but to rub salt in the wound this person is an atheist and living a lifestyle that isn’t pleasing to God from the Church’s teachings”

Try being involved in a catholic ministry where everyone in it except you seems to be happy, having good jobs, good relationships, etc. and even worse NOT DOING A SINGLE IOTA TO HELP YOU FIT IN! But jealousy and demanding fair play is never good. St Paul did tell us to not compare ourselves with others 'cause everyone have their own burdens to bear. Who knows, maybe someone in the above mentioned ministry is looking at me and wishing that they’re me… And perhaps it is the same with you and your atheist friend.
