Catholic Match have a forum, I enjoyed it back in 2013 …didn’t even know this one here existed !

Does anyone know about suscipe domine forum or fisheaters?

Suscipe Domine is largely an SSPX forum. Fisheaters is more traditional Catholic (e.g. supporting tradition but in communion with the Church).

There is also a new traditional Catholic forum, Res Publica Christiana.

I see, well for me I havent checked out the others. I signed up for St.Isidore’s lounge it strikes me as a safe place mostly entirely Roman Catholic which is great. But, what I liked about CAF is that it was a safe place but there were also plenty of dissenting opinions that kept things interesting.
I signed on again at Australian Atheists. But gee…pretty boring.
You could try Religious Forums . Includes an Atheism section.

You will be missed, @MNathaniel. But you already know that. I respect your decision, and wish you nothing but the best. It has been a pleasure. 🙂

Thanks @Irishmom2 🙂 You’ve always been kind to me, and I appreciate that. I hope God blesses you in the new year, and that you enjoy your continued online activities!

🎄🎊🎉

If I go else where it will be a place that allows dissenting views. Where those easily offended learn that people should be able to expess their opinion with out fear of being banned.

I am also going to spend more time on hobbies. Wood working and such

plus we are moving to the villages in florida, there are lots of social clubs there so I intend to spend my free time doing many of my hobbies, wood working, learning to paint, Ham radio.

I already have a membership at NarniaWeb ( community.narniaweb.com ). They’re quieter than here and lean slightly Reformed, but all are welcome. They have one or two Catholics among the moderators. And political threads are banned. 🙂

As to where the rest of you are going, I hear that Phatmass thinks many of you are heading there! They hope you will be good :angelic:

Wherever you all go, may we meet at the feet of Jesus in the end.

Blessings,

“TOM”

Me too, I’m not going to “Go” to another forum, I’m going to use my computer time to improve my chess game!

Seriously, I’m over Internet forums. I’ve already said my goodbyes at the few others I was still a part of, and once this one closes, I won’t be joining any new ones. They’ve all been such a problem, in ways that will get this post deleted if I go into detail.

I have gone to Orthodoxy and have no regrets. Catholicism, particularly Roman Catholicism, is collapsing on it’s own errors. Catholicism and Protestantism are two sides of the same coin. I will not let Rome lead my soul to Hell any longer. Good riddance.
What were some of the errors you have seen in Roman Catholicism which are not in Eastern Orthodoxy? Also did you have a bad experience with a Roman Catholic priest. I have a friend who left Roman Catholicism because a priest helped his wife to get a divorce and a marriage annulment. They had been married for 15 years, had several children, and there was never any question of an invalid marriage until the wife decided to be unfaithful after 15 years of marriage. According to the marriage tribunal he was not validly married for 15 years which he thinks is a real stretch, and his wife is free to remarry someone else which she did. And still the Roman Catholic Church says it is against divorce and remarriage. He was not able to go along with this so he left the Church.

I’m curious as to where are you all planning to go? I know some are going to St.Isidore’s lounge
I won’t be going to St. Isidore forum as my membership application has been rejected.
I might tune in to a site called Church Militant which is not a forum but has some interesting articles from time to time but also is quite hostile to SSPX. I don’t understand why they are so nasty toward SSPX because they seem to agree on many issues. There is a comment section after some articles where you can write down your opinion on the issue at hand.

I wonder how to start a forum? Where to go to do so? What was the old software used on this forum? I didn’t like the new version.
