God lives just across from the White House in Washington, DC. Do you want a specific address? No, jk.

The Divine is everywhere. In nature, in animals, in planets, in people. A part of the Divine is in all of us. Learn to appreciate the simple things in your life and you have truly found the house of God.

We Syrian Christians(I am Maronite Catholic) know very well that God is in all things in creation. In fact it plays a large part in the spirituality of Syrian Christianity. There is a large focus on the sacramentality of the world. God has revealed Himself to us through His creation.

I think Valke would probably find Syrian Christianity interesting since it is a Jewish Christian tradition. It has a lot of Jewish aspects. Especially the east Syrians.

Well, what is really evil?

And if God made everything, then he must have made what you call evil, right?

Some might consider death evil. Some might consider a forest fire evil. But nothing is really as simple as “this is good”, or “this is evil”. A forest fire may destroy trees, but it releases seed that could not be released without the fire. It is a renewal, life by destruction.

Even our qualities are not inherently good or evil. There are people in the world who cannot say no to anyone and are over generous. Some of these people eventually end up with nothing, since this attribute of generosity has made them buy into many scams that have depleted their money. These people could use a bit of selfishness, something that most people would consider a bad quality.

That is why I think God is in everything, even love and hate, generosity and greed. It keeps the balance that we need in our lives. Polarity is what we need in our lives.

Yes, evil exists. Would you call Hitler or Stalin or any other mass murderer evil? Yes, they were evil. It is not simply our perception. But it is not because they were created evil. Evil is a matter of the will. Men choose to oppose God and what is good and they choose to do what is contrary to that. Evil has no actual substantial existence that could be said to be created.

I wouldn’t call a fire evil. It might affect people negatively and it might cause great evils like death but in itself it is not evil.

You mention a man who is generous to the point that he gives away all his money and suffers at the hands of scamers. But I wouldn’t necessarily call that a fault. Maybe that person has simply learned to love. Love often requires a great deal of self-sacrifice. For example the story of the poor woman in the gospel who gives two pennies, which is all she had. This woman is considered to be greater than all those who gave much more than her because she gave all that she had. Sometimes love requires a great deal of self sacrifice for the sake of the beloved. Love calls us to a relative degree of simplicity as well which means that we should trust people(As the apostle Paul says, love trusts all(1Cor13)). So maybe your example of the person who has become so generous that they have been the victims of scamers is just the person who truely loves.

Possibly, I used to live in Saltlake City, Utah, the centre of Mormonism. That was a while ago though. I’m probably mistaken.
