Where Is Heaven? Not a Place?

I don’t believe we’re bound to obey St. Thomas Aquinas. He doesn’t constitute the Church. He made Logical arguments. Science, as we now understand it, falls outside his field of expertise. Nevertheless, anything we choose to believe scientifically should bring us closer to God not farther.

Right. St. Thomas wrote masterful works of theology, but his scientific assumptions were those of his time. Nor is he the Magisterium.

Hope, are you the same person who was Faith1960 on the old boards? She, too, would often get extremely concerned about particular topics and was difficult to reassure.

A spiritual dimension might better be called a realm, so it isn’t confused with the term used by physicists. Physics is a different science than theology. My bad.

So Catholics aren’t required to agree with St. Thomas and St. Aquinas?
Insofar as what they have written reflects the teaching of the Church, you are required to believe it. Where it does not reflect the teaching of the Church (in other words, reflecting only their personal opinion) you are not required to accept or believe it.

Another planet may be a possibility either. We have not really explored much beyond our solar system in search of life. Even if we did there are places we will never be able to reach.

Anyone care to explain how Jesus, Mary and maybe Enoch and Elijah, (who aren’t glorified) can “be” there?
Everyone in Heaven has a glorified body so I’m not clear why you say they are not glorified. What do you mean?

Why do you think Heaven is not a place. It can be a place and a state.
