I suggest that execution is not only violent but the worst of violence. I would hardly describe it as ‘peaceful’

I do not know of the statistics for executions in the USA but I have to disagree with you that less than 10 people have been executed in the last 50-years,There is no case in the US in the last 50 years where an innocent man is known to have been executed.
