I don’t like your chances of getting a sufficiently considered answer from Father “randomly selected” parish priest! Getting one’s head around the idea of making out with someone of the same sex, with no intent or expectation of erotic delight, and with no risk of crossing the line (wherever that exactly is) may be challenging for someone just meeting you! As far as the thread itself, the complete inability for anyone to actually reference Magisterial teaching on the issue leads me to three conclusions:
A) Same-sex romances are not inherently immoral and can be engaged in as long as they do not involve immoral physical activity or lust. These can involve anything up to light kissing for sure.
B) In addition to sex, making out is absolutely immoral when done for the sake of erotic delight, though this is true for any two unmarried people (thank you Cesar!)
C) Making out for an increase of the emotional bond with no desire for lust or erotic delight is iffy and likely needs discernment with a priest and Christ.
