How do we answer someone who asks this?
Same place He was while Jesus was being crucified – on the throne. How do we answer someone who asks this?
Either a questioning Christian, or an atheist. It depends who is asking. Who is asking in this scenario?
Any age, any circumstance.Of what age, under what circumstances?
See…this is a perfect example. A child would not understand this. Nor would an atheist. Heck, I’m not sure if I get it.Luke 13 seems relevant:
13:1 And there were present, at that very time, some that told him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And he answering, said to them: Think you that these Galileans were sinners above all the men of Galilee, because they suffered such things?
3 No, I say to you: but unless you shall do penance, you shall all likewise perish.
4 Or those eighteen upon whom the tower fell in Siloe, and slew them: think you, that they also were debtors above all the men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 No, I say to you; but except you do penance, you shall all likewise perish.
Here’s one possible approach:How do we answer someone who asks this?
And the people who were trapped on the top floors of the WTC. Including my friend who was up on the roof with one of the heads of his firm trying in vain to find a way for the trapped employees to get out. Needless to say he and the others didn’t make it out and we were all at his funeral a couple weeks later.God was with the passengers on Flight 93.
